James: Hey Sofia! Quick question—do people in Spain actually sleep? 😆 I heard everything happens much later over there.
Sofia: Hah! Well… kind of! 😄 It’s true, though. Shops, bars, restaurants—everything stays open later than in the UK. It’s a whole different rhythm of life.
James: I noticed that when I visited Madrid once. I was ready for bed, and people were just heading out for dinner!
Sofia: Exactly! Here, dinner is usually around 9 or 10 PM, and it’s totally normal to stay out past midnight—even on weekdays! The nightlife is amazing because bars and restaurants keep going till late.
James: That’s wild! Back home, the pubs start closing by 11 PM. If you want a late meal, good luck finding anything open.
Sofia: Yeah, that doesn’t happen here. Even supermarkets and some stores stay open until 9 or 10 PM. And night owls love that they can grab tapas at midnight or still be dancing at 3 AM.
James: That actually sounds perfect for freelancers. I’m always working odd hours, so having things open late would be a game changer.
Sofia: Exactly! Spain’s schedule is super flexible. You can work, take a break, go for a late dinner, and still have time to enjoy the night.
James: I think I’d fit right in. No more rushing to grab food before everything shuts down.
Sofia: Yup! In Spain, the night is just another part of the day. You just have to adjust your sleep schedule… a little. 😆
James: Haha, totally worth it! Late-night tapas and a buzzing nightlife? Spain keeps sounding better and better.
Sofia: It really is! You coming over yet? 😏
James: Give me a few months… I’m seriously considering it!
